The company “Marathon Development” is a Construction and Real Estate Company with the owner and legal representative of the company being Mr. Georgios Kolovos, a graduate of the College of Athens, Civil Engineer of the National Technical University of Athens, fellow of the Ecole Centrale Paris and former Engineer and Director of the Technical Service of the Municipality of Marathon for 20 years, with experience in private and public projects, such as road construction, building, plumbing and schools. Mr. Kolovos has worked for the company VINCI, and has participated in the preparation process of the Rio-Antirio bridge, through the selection of suitable laboratories, negotiations for the supply of basic concrete materials (iron, aggregates, cement and admixtures) and in the writing of the project’s quality assurance system. Furthermore, after July 2018, it undertook and successfully completed the restoration of houses that had been affected by the devastating fire in Mati, Attica. In recent years, it has been active in the area of Schinias, where it constructs luxurious and energy-sustainable houses of high architecture. Finally, having understood market trends, the company is beginning to establish its presence in the wider area of Attica and Athens.

Furthermore, the company is supported by experienced Engineers, dedicated and capable teams and aims at the development and management of real estate, focusing on high architecture, innovation, sustainability and the creation of value for stakeholders.

Mr. Athanasios Lambos, concrete contractor, is a reliable partner of our company, as he has over 40 years of experience in the field of concrete construction in private and public projects.

The couple of Architects Karydis Ioannis and Tzora Maria, graduated Architects from the National Technical University of Athens, who have received about 20 distinctions and awards for their architectural work, constitute the main Architectural Office that undertakes and implements the design and supervision of Marathon Development’s architectures. Recognizing them as one of the leading architects of Greece, the state television recently made a tribute to them in the TV show “Urban Landscapes”.

As can be seen from the above, our company with the help of its partners has the ability to construct a wide range of Civil Engineering projects, provide advice on all aspects of concrete, special compositions and admixtures, as well as respond to any architectural challenges.
